Spooky Shenanigans
We arrived on 31st October to find that we'd been visited by creepy crawlies, a gruesome ghost and a wicked witch. Zoinks! (bag of sweets for the first person to tell us whose catchphrase that is!)
But never fear, your Fish managed to keep themselves safe and beat the beasts...while indulging in a whole heap of treats!
The Future of Recruitment
The highlight of our month was, without doubt, the Future of Recruitment event on the 2nd. We headed to the Hard Rock Cafe where we were treated to not just one, but two Savage speakers! Yes, both Greg and Chris Savage delivered The Savage S.P.R.I.N.T. at their only Scottish event and we were ecstatic to hear over 100 tips and tricks designed to help increase billings, network more effectively and improve candidate management. We caught the highlights on film for those of you who weren't able to join us:
New Fish!
We added another Fish to our shoal this month, in a brand new position! John has joined us as a UI/UX Front-End Developer, and will be working on feature enhancements to even further increase your experience of Firefish. Welcome aboard, John!

Focus Day Update
You'll probably remember reading about our Focus Day in September (check out what we got up to here)
Our main focus was GDPR, as it's at the top of all our priority lists. The great news is that Firefish is already filled with features that allow you to demonstrate intent to comply, and we have even more that will be out in plenty of time for the implementation date of 25th May 2018.

And The Winner Is...
Awards season is underway, and Wendy was delighted to be part of the judging panel for the National Online Recruiter Awards. The ceremony took place in London on the 15th, and it was great to see such worthy winners recognised. Well done to all the finalists!
On the 30th we sponsored the Best Niche Agency - Discipline category at the Marketing & Digital Recruitment Awards. What a wonderful evening Wendy and Cameron had! Huge congratulations to all who were shortlisted, and in particular Harnham UK who were the winners of our sponsored category.
We'll have more awards news for you next month, as we're attending the SME National Business Awards where we're hoping to pick up the award for Service Excellence. Please keep every-fin crossed for us!
