A Pawsome End to August

End of August Firefish Newssplash!

August has gone in a flash 💨 and it sure has been a busy month! They do say that time flies when you’re having fun…so read on to see what the shoal has been up to:

International Dog Day

We don’t just #lovethefish – we love all animals!  There are quite a few pawrents in the Shoal, so International Dog Day gave us the perfect pupper-tunity to celebrate our furry friends.

And the odd cat or two who may have managed to sneak in…

Photo Finish

We ended the month with the results of our World Photo Day competition, where we submitted our entries for the categories of:

·       Cutest Picture

·       Best Picture of where you live

·       Funniest Picture

·       Nick’s Favourite Photo

·       Best In Show

Judged by our very own Nick Kirk - who is a professional photographer and videographer so he really knows his stuff! - huge congratulations go to our winners Gerard, Emma, Amy and Andrew (who won TWO categories!) for their sensational snaps.

And the winner is…

You’d be forgiven for thinking that we’ve been having too much fun to get any work done, but that’s certainly not the case!  Each member of the Shoal has made a huge positive impact this month, and we’re delighted to celebrate their achievements of those who really went above and beyond:

Our Fin-omenally Focused Fish for August, Martha, has been living up to the Focus Group name of Love the Fish: her passion, dedication and willingness to roll up her sleeves and muck in has been a key factor in the success of the group’s projects this month.

Our whirlwind Employer Branding Executive, Amy, always puts her shoal-mates first and is dedicated to making sure that we all have everything we need when we need it, so that we can all to swim to success…and have a great time while we’re doing it!

Our Growth team had a storming month in August, not only in their individual functions of Marketing, Outreach and Sales but they also demonstrated outstanding cross-functional teamwork which resulted in them overachieving on their goals.

Do you want to join the Shoal?  Check out our open roles here, drop us a line here and we’ll 'sea' you soon 😉
