Recruitment Agency Expo Birmingham 2019

Birmingham Recruitment Agency Expo

On Wednesday October 2nd, our fin-tastic Growth team swam south for the Recruitment Agency Expo in Birmingham!

Across the two-day event, the team caught up with so many friends of the Fish (old and new!) and had the chance to showcase our award-winning software to hundreds of the event’s 3,000 recruiter attendees.

Here’s what else we got up to…

Our Fish never miss a hop-portunity

As you’ll know, our Fish are always consummate professionals and we’re all business, business, business, all of the time! OK, that’s not entirely true… In reality, whilst we all work incredibly hard, our favourite company value is ‘don’t take yourself too seriously’ and we’re pretty good at living up to this!

So, to bring a bit of Firefish fun with us, we flew our prized space-hoppers down to the arena with us to see which recruiter could hop the fastest. We recruiters are a competitive bunch, and it turns out this is an understatement when it comes to space-hopper races!

Check how our fish-hoppers blew up at the expo:

How this Chief Fish stole the show

On Wednesday morning, our Chief Fish Wendy took to the stage to present on a hot topic that’s also close to her heart: Stop cold calling, start warm calling!

As a business owner who hates taking cold calls, Wendy kicked off the show by reenacting a cold call she recently received and demonstrated how and why is was so easy to flatly turn down the offer and hope the company never contact her again.

It was a standing room only affair, as attendees flooded in to hear all about Wendy’s modernized outreach strategy that will turn any agency’s cold calls into warm calls that are accepted first time, every time.

Our marketing team then worked hard to turn Wendy’s talk into an eBook – you can download it here.
