Firefish is a multi award-winning, fast-growing tech company providing software solutions to recruiters around the globe!  Our Technical Operations team make sure that our clients have everything they need, from helping with complex technical queries; to dealing with bug fixes and smaller improvements which are released every week; to managing data requirements; and monitoring system performance.

You're going to love this job if:

  • You love getting to the bottom of things! You get a kick out of finding solutions and seeing them through to implementation
  • Communication is key to you, and you enjoy working with clients, support teams, testers and fellow developers to find out the finer details of issues raised in tickets, and have the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical people
  • You have top notch prioritisation skills to ensure that the right work is done at the right time
  • You’re looking for a varied role where no two days are ever the same!

You’ll be joining a well-oiled, Agile SaaS environment with a brilliant team to consistently learn from and with whom you can push the parameters of what’s possible.

Our perfect next Fish will have at least 2 years’ development experience, ideally having worked in tech support for a large scale application, and has experience of Agile methodologies (particularly those supporting object-oriented analysis and design, such as SOLID principles).

You're fluent in C# and SQL Server (but don’t worry if you’re stronger in one than another – we provide training) and have experience of ASP.Net and Web Architecture.  You're also fluent in JavaScript, and will ideally have experience in Angular and JQuery, along with knowledge of HTML/CSS.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including flexi finish time, a relaxed working environment, monthly team lunches, free beer and an early finish on Fridays.

We’re well established having grown 60% organically year-on-year and are committed to world domination within the recruitment sector! Your workload is in your own hands, not dictated to you, and you are not seen as just another ‘cog in the machine’.
