Content Marketer

£22,000 - £25,000 + medical cashback, retail vouchers, monthly lunches, stocked fridges and lots more!

This vacancy is now closed

Firefish is a fast-growing, established software business and we generate all our leads online. We're looking for an awesome storyteller to join our Growth team to assist in creating, editing, managing and promoting top-class B2B content to attract new customers to our blog and retain our position as the best recruitment blog in the UK (we even have a trophy to prove it!)

Our blog - which is the main focus of our content - currently has over 9000 regular blog subscribers and 14000 monthly views, and our recruitment content has been recognised as one of the best industry blogs in the world.  The Content Marketer position gives you the opportunity to help us to retain and grow our position as the content leader in the market place.

You'll be researching and writing 2-3 blogs per month for Firefish, plus one monthly guest blog, on engaging topics related to the recruitment industry while also writing other forms of promotional content such as website landing page copy.

You'll also be involved in updating existing content, editing blog posts from other members of the team before they go live, and research and idea generation to help plan content production across all of our channels. It's important that our content looks great, so you'll source and create on-brand images, and once it's live you'll track and analyse how our audience responds to each piece of content we publish.

Sound exciting?  We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have sharp attention to detail - typos and spelling mistakes drive you nuts!
  • Have a year or two experience writing for a popular blog or in an established content marketing function
  • Are comfortable writing about absolutely anything so long as you have a brief to follow and Google at your fingertips!
  • Have awesome storytelling skills with experience in writing for a B2B audience.
  • Are a dab hand at communicating complex ideas in a way that's interesting and easy to read
  • Have experience with Adobe CS5 (particularly Photoshop), Canva or some other graphics design tool set
  • Have an online portfolio of written work you're really proud of (blogs, articles, web copy, etc)

This is your opportunity to be an integral part of an industry-leading development team in a SaaS product-focused company committed to world domination within the recruitment sector!  You'll be working as part of an agile team where your workload is in your own hands - not dictated to you - and you're not seen as just another 'cog in the machine'.  There are excellent opportunities for progression, and (if we do say so ourselves) we're a fun, friendly and supportive bunch who love to see our colleagues do well.

Vicki will be in touch as soon as she’s reviewed your application.
